CREAMY SEAFOOD SOUP ( BOUILLABAISSE INSPIRED)

Ingredients:

For the broth:
2 pounds/900gms to 1 kg of ( raw shelled shrimps)
1 Medium size Carrot
1 Medium size white or yellow onion
1-2 sticks Celery
3-4 pieces fresh garlic
2 cloves
2 bay leaf
1/2 tsp Dry thyme
6 cups/ 1.5 liters water

For the soup
3 Tbl butter
3 Tbl flour
1 tsp Spanish Paprika or any brand
Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)
3-4 cups shrimp broth ( depending on the thickness )
10 strands saffron
Salt to taste
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream (optional)
