Sunflower Seeds “Egusi” Soup | All Nigerian Recipes

Sunflower Seeds Egusi Soup is a great alternative to the much loved Nigerian Egusi Soup. Try it and let me know what you think.

– 2 cups (290g) sunflower seeds
– 4 big cuts of stockfish
– 2 tablespoons ground crayfish
– 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (or to your taste)
– 1 habanero pepper (or to your taste)
– ¼ cup palm oil
– Spinach or other leafy vegetable (to your liking)
– Salt to taste

Feel free to add dry fish, beef, goat meat and other meat and fish we use for Nigerian soups for swallows.
